The bus is as ready as it can be, changed the oil and tranny fluid today. I've decided to not bring anything to sell and show the bus instead.

My '61 Mango has new front shocks, a less squeaky center pin and a full tank of gas. The full tank of gas was the most trying event of the night, I ran out, again. Wish this old beast had a gas guage, and a 12V system instead of the whimpy 6 volts. But it's ready to roll.

The '65 panel will be on loaner status for the weekend. A NH barndoor dignitary is coming down to help me roll it to the show.

Yes, I plan to be parking cars by 9am.

I'm planning to be out at the Jack and Dan's place in Leominster from about 3-6, then head over to the Peace Abbey in Sherborn for the evening. I'll be rolling with Chris Tobey and family who are caretaking my '65 panel for the weekend. So we'll show up with two buses.

If anyone needs to reach me my cell is 508-333-7813.

Pix from not one, but two different pre-show campouts. It's a cold night out there in New England. I hope everyone is staying warm...

Getting lost always makes for a good photo op. We strayed into Lunenburg, MA looking for a place in Leominster.

Awesome show as usual Stan! Drove down with the local VW crew in a rare Bus Caravan for this area. Sold all the extra parts I bought and turned around and scored this insanely sweet M-501 Walkthrough Bench Seat Option (It turns a walk through into a bench seat):

My photo contributions. Perfect weather. That lowered gray bay is nice, one of my favorites. I wish I had gotten a pic of that in-progress white and blue bay, the paint on that was gorgeous.

Thanks for all pix and props everyone. It's great to see some of the stuff I missed. I didn't get to check out the swap meet at all, hope it was good.

One of the best parts for me was driving my '61 Bus around all weekend (144 miles total) to the various events. I also got to enjoy seeing my '65 panel in the rear view mirror for most of the weekend too. Both buses made it all weekend with no major mechanical problems.

Thanks to all the great volunteers and sponsors who helped make it a great show. And thanks to everyone who made it to the show. Having a successful VW event with all your friends there is what keeps me going every year.
