The bus is as ready as it can be, changed the oil and tranny fluid today. I've decided to not bring anything to sell and show the bus instead. |

Pix from not one, but two different pre-show campouts. It's a cold night out there in New England. I hope everyone is staying warm...
Getting lost always makes for a good photo op. We strayed into Lunenburg, MA looking for a place in Leominster.
The first 4 buses to show up at Jack's place. 2 more split window and 2 more bays showed up later.
Nice line-up: '65 DoubleDoor walkthru panel, '61 Mango Standard, '59 Swivel Seat Kombi, '67 slider door microbus.
Dan's bay window with a fresh 1700cc from suburbanengine.com
Rollin' through Leominster on the way to campout #2.
Live band at the Peace Abbey Roadhouse in Sherborn, MA.
Campfire at the Peace Abbey.
Lewis Randa's '71 camper and the Peace Abbey guest house.
Good times and great food at both events. See everyone at the show tomorrow. _________________ Stan's Classic Service, specializing in air-cooled VWs:

Awesome show as usual Stan! Drove down with the local VW crew in a rare Bus Caravan for this area. Sold all the extra parts I bought and turned around and scored this insanely sweet M-501 Walkthrough Bench Seat Option (It turns a walk through into a bench seat):
I'm uploading pict now so lot's more to come _________________ '73 Transporter 1.7L Dual Carb

My photo contributions. Perfect weather. That lowered gray bay is nice, one of my favorites. I wish I had gotten a pic of that in-progress white and blue bay, the paint on that was gorgeous.

Thanks for all pix and props everyone. It's great to see some of the stuff I missed. I didn't get to check out the swap meet at all, hope it was good.
One of the best parts for me was driving my '61 Bus around all weekend (144 miles total) to the various events. I also got to enjoy seeing my '65 panel in the rear view mirror for most of the weekend too. Both buses made it all weekend with no major mechanical problems.
Thanks to all the great volunteers and sponsors who helped make it a great show. And thanks to everyone who made it to the show. Having a successful VW event with all your friends there is what keeps me going every year.
