Nope, he was a flywheel short...

But I have one for him whenever he wants to drop by and collect it.

That was all a ruse; I really just wanted to give all the northeasterner's a chance to bring home a trophy. We're about at capacity here at the SPVC.

Regardless, maybe I'll swing by wed or thurs night? I'll give ya a call.

Looks like you all had a great time; sad I missed it. Next year!

Instead, aside from all the other bus work, I spent an hour plus this weekend being frustrated just trying to pull out my oil pump. It was totally glued in there with 10 years worth of RTV. The battery in my welding helmet was dead, so I couldn't see crap; but I still managed to whip together this ghetto ass oil pump puller from scraps laying around the shop. 1st attempt kept bending, 2nd worked like a charm.

My friend would be so proud, that is his buggy, formerly Boston Bob's. We had a post-Transporterfest gathering at our place up in NH but the buggy didn't make it after it started leaking out tranny fluid:(

I really like the show, a perfect size for the time of year. Not so small that you got bored but small enough that if you stopped to talk to someone about their ride, you didn't feel like you were missing out on seeing everything. Nice mix, just need a competition car or two, next year the Rally Super will hopefully be there to represent.

Awesome show as usual Stan! Drove down with the local VW crew in a rare Bus Caravan for this area. Sold all the extra parts I bought and turned around and scored this insanely sweet M-501 Walkthrough Bench Seat Option (It turns a walk through into a bench seat):

I'm uploading pict now so lot's more to come Cool

Cool , is that the seat you bought from me (via Dennis) ? If so, if I ever run across the other bars that it attaches to at the bottom, I'll give them to you.

Good match though.

Yup! That's the seat I got from you. It's in great condition and a perfect match for the bus. Actually the seat pattern matches the original pattern of the rear seats so that's even better! The driver and passenger seats are from a '71 so they have a different pattern (Same color) but are in awesome condition so I'm using them until I find originals ones. Thanks for keeping an eye out for the bars too
