West coasters have it easy. Nearly every week, I see yet another bus pulled from the weeds & resurrected. A bus sitting anytime at all on the East Coast is toast, suitable for hacking up & that's all. The west coast also has resources, rebuilders and parts, and a community of support. Those of us on the East Coast are mainly lone wolves, just trying to roll.

It's not even a fair comparison: it's apples and oranges.

no way! i see many east coast busses being dragged out. most of our sources are dried up. especially since you guys have things called forests and barns, fields and many more hiding places than we do...oh by the way they are all sweet busses. Cool

some of the wierdest, craziest stuff has come outta the east east coast. barndoor walkthru kombi, barndoor walkthru panel, swivelseat sunroof bus, 55 sunroof kombi. there is a sideloader singlecab, a doubleslider 21 window with 11 m-codes. that 23 window doubledoor is pretty crazy. jDOT's 59 swivelseat kombi that he got outta CT.

stuff i have found? KING panel is pretty cool in that it's a pressed bumper walkthru. also the complete and original paint mango doubledoor outta central PA. that's the local stuff.

sure the west coast has (had) a huge inventory because of weather conditions but the east coast has some seriously interesting stuff.

as far as original condition vehicles go:
nicest BD deluxe- east coast
nicest BD standard -germany
nicest BD kombi-? probably west coast
nicest BD singlecab- probably germany

nicest pressed bumper deluxe-?
nicest pressed bumper standard-east coast
nicest BINZ- west coast
nicest kombi-east coast

late model stuff- there is too much out there still to make any fair comparisons. besides, who cares.
