After Dave is all done, guess what I found today?
Daves.
Mine.
Oh Well, the Cheerios probably did Dave some good. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

Hey you better watch it fella-your starting to sound all light and all. Complaing about correct pieces for your stock carb set up
All the people I know have their wing nuts and some even have their fancy "T" fuel hose junction balancing tube/air cleaner stand bracket.
But thats a correct for 65 part you wouldnt want
I did see your piece in the classys but the ad is now gone _________________

If everyone is an expert, then I do not have to answer so many questions, and can take longer naps.

Well since we have it here to see, when was your old T34 produced? Maybe late 64? _________________

after discussing the fitment with Russ, I rotated the bottom of the oilbath just a bit to take some of the strain off of the rubber piece:
much straighter overall... _________________ póg mo thóin

Looks great!
What's that little vent/pipe coming off the oil bath connection - just above the new rubber? _________________ 1963 Karmann Ghia |

Next to the body is the flap for the winter pre-heat
on the air cleaner is the fitting for the crankcase breather hose. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

I need to run the rubber line from the crankcase breather to that port; currently the breather is a simple road-draft tube... _________________ póg mo thóin

high and dry:
Danny stopped by yesterday morning and swapped out jets and airs to get them dialed-in a little closer; took the frankensquare out for a drive and it doesn't go well: idles all day long with no problems, but anything above 2500 rpm and it stumbles and has no power...
back to the driveway and isolate the problem -- left-side carb is dead-on; right-side is the stumbler... disassemble and see what the problem is - pull the carb off and take it apart...
right-side carb has a clogged passage, so now I need to find a known-good running PDSIT to swap jets, venturis, etc with... this is the same carb that has a wonky choke in it, so the chokes are locked open...
finally got all the pieces together and working with Danny to get these rebuilt carbs dialed in and still can't drive the car...
I've got an email out to the rebuilder, but just really frustrated at this point...
(and before the responses roll in: compressed air and carb cleaner were both used before calling it a day) _________________ póg mo thóin
