|
|
I'm finally closing in on my SR build. The body is being painted this week, and I realized that I don't have the Manx logo letters that were originally on the rear of the body. It's the "logo" with MANX going on a slant upwards. Would anyone have a spare they'd be willing to part with? I've checked Fleabay a couple time a week for about a month with no luck.
Thanks, all!

Is Bruce still offering this item? My MANX logo is straight across on the engine lid of my SR... ?

I've checked the Meyers site and didn't see anything resembling emblems for sale. I may have to call, since they don't seem to believe in an email system. The holes in my rear decklid are definately on a slant, hence the search, but I'm sure there are as many variants of how guys built their SR's as there are cars!

Did you have any luck finding your rear emblem? I'm in search of one for what I believe is an original Myers Manx.
Thanks. |

I looked for YEARS and made my own. For the SR's single, my local FLAPS has chrome stick on single letters that look a lot like the orignals.
Heres my homemade one, I've changed it for a more correct look now and need to take a update pic.

Wow.. old post. I sold the buggy a while back, but in short, no I never found a set. I wound up making my own out of .090 aluminum and a bandsaw and finishing with a Dremel. Looked pretty good! |

I live on the South coast of Massachusetts, anyone got one of those that lives near by? I could take a casting (no harm to the original what-so-ever) from the emblem and make as many as you folks want. Seriously. You could mount the counterfeit and save the original safely in a drawer for later, or whatever.
Just lemme know, come on by with your emblem and we'll get to work, takes a few minutes to make the mold and done. |

It's not damaged, the pins are clipped off to mount with emblem tape. |
