Laughing

They are technically NLA. VC found a hidden stash of units somewhere.
I prefer to get the correct part since they are temporary available now.

Ava Moradia=Geri same brand it looks like edit:yes, they bought them in october 2009.....not BEHR,but who cares really? pretty much same quality, and sold Europe wide

http://ava.web.shphosting.com/techinfo_search_pub.lasso Type in search :VW6128

You can play with dimensions too http://ava.web.shphosting.com/techinfo_results_pub...=&mod=

NRF is making some too,but only the rear one for vanagon as far as i am in the search.

if you guys want to pplay with part numbers from manufacturers:049140N, 1391401, 25410, 58006128, 60586128, VW6128 ,that's opening a far more searches......

i'm stopping here, time to go to bed.

just to demonstrate that you can find almost anything...and taking more time i'm sure i could find cheaper from another car with close dimensions.

it took me 20 hours of research to find some cv joints with 33 SPLINES that have 108MM outside diameter that would fit the vanagon:just need to stick out fingers from the butt and get some determination:we live in a modern world, let's use the technology for our vans Wink

good night!

jaguar xj12 315X115X42MM part JR6005
eurovan t4 306X157X42MM
porsche 928 320X115X42MM
iveco 1989 TO 1996 310X158X42MM
renault master 2 and 3:330X158X42 part 7701.205.584

ALIKA T3 getting the correct part from a OE manufacturer is important to me and I thought I should pass on the information to others. If you want to fake something in with the help of a dremel tool,or duct tape or some other means to make it work that is fine but that isn't why I started this thread, there are already threads for that.

Sorry for the list of "adaptables" ones,I thought it might have interested some pepole with a junkcar sitting around.

The other part number VW6128 still currently made by AVA is the exact replacement part for the BEHR part that was made for Volkswagen.
It's an exact fit,and that will be the only one ("cheap")available when the few Behr sitting on a shelf will become unavailable for real anymore.
Some people will come accross this thread doing some research and will be glad to find it in a near future Wink

Take care Cool

Huh--
I'd want to be sure to get the right parts too--are they OE or OEM?
Big difference.
I didn't know Behr/Hella was the VW OE manufacture of heater cores.

Worry not.
These front heater cores are made in England and a good replacement OEM front heater core.
They look good---

There is nothing wrong with that core you were looking at.
In my opinion it's a bit heavier duty than the Hella/Behr unit.
And probably the reason for the price difference.
They are both good units.

It's OE quality,so call it OEM like a bunch of other parts that we buy for our vanagons.
I wouldn't be worry about quality, they are OE manufacturer for other brands too, like french crap cars Laughing (auto sarcasm...>double meaning)
Choosing between a BEHR and an AVA model for same price,I would go BEHR because it's original part.

Bye

Oh Terry you are so modest . That is one of your heater cores . VC sells them . I know for sure because I bought one one from VC . I have one installed in a heater box along with a new fan and rebuilt doors. Nice solid well built unit .
