5.5 sec in the 1/8th mile? This is well into the 8's in the 1/4 mile. 2.5L and 800 hp would be a good start; I'd also estimate it would take you at least 10 straight years of hard work to accomplish this goal, considering this is a very novice question to ask.

Why not just make a custom set of wires with a Y splice in them. Then you could just run one distributor.

I don't think electrickery works that way

If you are at all serious about doing this - possibly in the dragster in your avatar - I would talk to someone who has been there and done it. Contact people like Roger Crawford, Marty Staggs, Dave Folts, Eric Calabrese, The Lauffers, the Kawells, etc. Talk it over with them, they'll tell you the straight story.

them kind of numbers are hard on and for a VW and only the very experienced are doing it, and it takes a huge amount of money to do it with a vw and be reliable, I know pauter, autocraft and many more of that status and even Gene Berg and have played and raced VW all my life until 4 years ago when Mario quoted me a price of 7000 for the induction system I went the next week and bought a t/k altered running 5.7 with a small block Chevy. I think the VW price on the grade of parts to run these numbers is absolutely out of this world, I now have a 572bb Chevy blown alky running low to mid 4's and there is absolutely no way I could do it in a VW as bad as much as I would like
We have a 5.7 class around here called Real/Street u have to run that index and I was trying to see what opinions were for that number, It cost Ken Fisher 50 grand for a 5.30 I can only image what it cost to run them mid 4's
thanks for the comments every1 be at the bug jab in Dade city Fla this SUNDAY
