Speedo Question

Does a '84 Vanagon come with a 85 mph or 100 mph speedo from the factory?

My 84 has a 100 mph speedo so I am assuming it has been changed at some point. If that is the case, I really don't know the milage....

some had 85 some went 100...dependant upon options, some 84's even had the cluster with the tach,,,,,

probably changed, if you dont have a tach Rolling Eyes

Funny,

Since a Vanagon (stock) can't go 85!!! Very Happy

My spedo could go to 65 and I'd be happy!

I wish they made one that went to at least 120... mine goes all the way round and hits the odo reset button so I never know exactly how much over 100 I'm doing.

We did do a GPS run, showed 141mph... world record I think, "telephone poles looked like a picket fence".
