I am voting for Sunday the 19th... Of course it is all depended on the job... Sadly it is what feeds the Westy. |
I second this because I have to work the two Sundays prior, but, as always, take this post and run with it. All is not lost if CZ cannot make it We have a few new vans to slobber all over

Or can he???
Much to my surprise , The GTG thread I started in the Split Bus forum to mirror the successes of this Thread, got moved to the Tundra.....
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4969346#4969346
The PDX SplitStravaganza thread got moved to the Shows/Events/Camping/Clubs section. Meeting up on 12-19 at the LL NW Quimby. Please try to pass on to the other PDX crew. I had to search for it 6 times before I found it under my recent posts. For those of you who know of owners of both Split's and Vanagons that were interested in joining our informal TS inspired meetups, please pass it on. I know the couple split owners that joined us really had high hopes as well.
Just reminds me why I like this lose knit community of like minded people so much.
I do suggest that the lurkers who may not have yet attended, bookmark this topic in case it too gets moved to the Tundra.

A PM just tipped me off to the 19th. "I thought I was watching this topic?" Scroll down...I am! But had not heard of any of the recent posts.
I'll be around. Just told my wife and she agrees.
This is in the afternoon? Like 12:04? 4:20? or
Like ClimberJohn said (and I missed in all the text) 2:00.

Bring a $5 gift for an exchange? We can do the number thing where you choose in order, or take from somebody else... you know how it works.

Eric,
I like it.
(If you forget a gift, you buy a big bottle inside and contribute that.)

Forget? My first thought was a LL gift certificate. _________________ Michael in PDX

Why stop with $5? Why not play with what you show up in? Eric, please bring the green Doka, and Jeffrey the Split Scab - two beautiful rides I wouldn't mind driving.
I may be a little late though as I'll be riding my son's bicycle.
See you guys in a couple weeks.

I will exchange the SCab for the Jadgwagen Straight across
I invited a HS friend of mine who has the sickness but wants to initiate himself into it with a Subie conversion. It will be good for him to see a Zetec, Subie, WBX, TDI...then of course, my 36 HP 1200 cc monster in the SCab _________________ Happiness=Portland, Oregon in the rearview mirror! |

And it is looking better and better that my Zetec will be there.... Actually she rolls into PDX tomorrow afternoon! Sadly I roll right back out until the 17th, but should be home in time for the Holiday gathering.
Photos to come soon... _________________ SF

If I can get my box of parts from Europe by then, I may be able to come in with my DoKa. Keep your fingers crossed.
