Is there a tencent rebuilt engine owner in the SF Bay Area who's willing to meet with me to demonstrate it's performance.
I'll supply some adult refreshments in exchange. |

None of my engines live in the great state of Kalifornia as of yet. I have more engines in foreign countries than there (although some would argue that the Golden State is a foreign country!). I have one each in OR, WA, AZ, and NV, so all the neighboring states are covered, but no one smart enough in CA to buy one yet. If one of them has moved to CA I am not aware of it.
Just think, you could be the first. _________________ Shop for unique Vanagon accessories at the Vanistan shop:

On our way to SdM, we went through a border check point at the Nevada/Socialist Republic of California border. _________________ "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." - Benjamin Franklin |

Too late, man, Canada's crawling with them (well, there's two anyway...). No dibs on New Zealand, either, and if you want to bag Taiwan you'll have to rush, I ship one there next month.
Not surprisingly I have quite a few here in NM.
But purchase is not required to visit. _________________ Shop for unique Vanagon accessories at the Vanistan shop:

If you're gonna visit Taiwan early next year, let me know, I'll let you have a test drive and we can hit a single malt whiskey bar afterwards. |

One is near Toronto, the other is somewhere in BC. The BC one is in about the sweetest restored doka I've ever seen. _________________ Shop for unique Vanagon accessories at the Vanistan shop:

What colour is that Doka? There is a midnight
blue one in my Neighbourhood that is
very nice, but always moving too fast
to track it down. Then there is another nice
one, grey, across the river in a fancy part of Vancouver. _________________ Tencentlife said,

You mean more like an advanced civilization...
I'm surprised that there have been no buyers here; perhaps it's due to the proximity to Los Osos and GoWesty.
Let's see, I've got a sister in Texas... maybe I should do a road trip through NM with a "while I wait" installation? |

There is a Doka around here that I spotted at Keji(National Park) last spring. It had a diesel engine painted Cat yellow. Not sure if it was a tdi or not.
Rumour has it the guy who owns it is a mechanic just outside Halifax although I can neither confirm nor deny this...hehe.
It is a lighter blue than the one in the pics and was in amazing shape! It could actually be mistaken for a new vehicle if you had no idea. It was also the first Doka I have ever seen live and in person.
This is in no way related to the OP's original question and I apologize for hijacking the thread.

I am no longer doing installs, but I'll drink your beer if you want to wait. And I know that you know that although I would be glad to set you up with some fresh ponies, I have a long wait list. So plan ahead! _________________ Shop for unique Vanagon accessories at the Vanistan shop:
