So I finally had the 16s and tires installed yesterday and when I go to stop I get a pulsation in the brake pedal and then you can also feel it when the rig comes to a stop... almost like a grab and release.
Any thoughts?

Pulsation is usually a sign of warped rotors. Over-torquing or unevenly-torquing your lug nuts/bolts can cause that. If you had a shop install the wheels after changing the tires, I'd take it back to them and ask them to make it right. |

Sounds like the over torquing as I did not have the sensation before the wheel change.

Get back there ASAP or risk a permanent warp, plus the ensuing wrestling match about who pays for the new rotors... _________________ 86 White Wolfsburg Westy Weekender

Turns out that the shop put the left drum on the right side and the right drum on the left side... I still think that there is a little over torquing on the fronts and I will have that taken care of tomorrow when the alignment is done...
I still think that a new sway bar is in my future.

Man I LOVE the Samba. Just replaced my rear wheel cylinders and got the pulsating brake issue. Found this thread and readjusted my wheel lugs and . . . Bam . . . pulse is gone. Nobody knows everything but at least somebody knows something. _________________ 1990 4 Speed Orly Blue Multivan |
