Hello all,

Doctor Dave came back with a diagnosis. Lazarus has cancer. If he cuts and slices away the diseased parts, Laz can live to maturity.

Update: Doctor Dave took Tues-Thurs to spend full time with the patient. After 24 hours, we are hopeful for a full recovery. He will probably get a late start in the camping season, but so be it. While in recovery, we shall be repaneling the offensive parts and recovering all the seats, including the second row seat we are adding.

Onward Thru the Fog!
David

Where can we send the flowers and the 'Get Wel... ded' cards?

Shocked

Good luck with the full and successful completion of all repairs!

Best!

He wasn't dead. He was just sleeping.

Another camper saved from rust. Nice.

Hello all,
Been lurking and not posting for a bit. Will try to post some updates on what is/has been happening to Lazarus. The interior was all removed for paint and repairs, while it was out I stripped all of the vinyl wallpaper off of the interior of the cabinets and primed and painted two coats. The interior panels have been replaced with new baltic birch. The interior has been sound deadened and insulated with blue foam.

If I had to do it over again I wouldn't!!
But wow it is quiet, at least for a 28 year old VW.

Hope to finish it up over the next two days, as we leave for San Antonio on the 22nd. Excited and terrified to be doing a road trip.

More soon/er or later
Peace
David

Oh Yeah!

New vinyl floor and tracks for third row seating. The Honda Insight only seats two, but how do you beat 59 mpg (lifetime mileage)

Peace
David
