Anyone know of a source for or an option to the garbage reverse light switches now available? I'm on my third one now. First two stuck and now this one leaks and I hate leaks. It is a pain to change since I need to R&R both the engine and trans to change it.

How about dig up a good used one. Clean one up, test it, and install.
I never used a new one.

o-rings have to be very clean to seal. The o-ring grove and outside surface it seals against have to be clean and smooth. They sometimes seal better if lightly coated with silicone grease before installing. The grease lets the o-ring move to a good sealing position. BTW, o-ring seals don't usually need as much tightening pressure to do the job. Is it possible the switch is leaking around one of the terminal post instead of the o-ring?

Else, just clean both threads very good with brake cleaner on a tooth brush, and coat with a good anaerobic gasket maker like Permatex 518. That way you won't be depending on the o-ring.
