Not that my opinion counts for anything, but I kinda agree with Tram about customs adding to the value of the car. If someone did the kind of "custom" job to a split bus or early bug there would be a riot. But when the T3 community balks at the "because we can" customs, its like we get the "you guys are assholes because you cant appreciate my work" attitude.

Do what you want. Its your car. But dont whine when you take a nice car, turn it into the modern equivalent of SnorkleStang, and then get hosed in an online forum because you are asking way too much for it.

Ive decided to keep my notch half based on this principle. I know no one will pay what I think its worth. Maybe ever. So I keep it based half on jimmys example and the other base on "ill never see this shit again" principle.

We whine, we bitch but in the end we pay more for less to keep it going.

The sad truth is that there are sooo few cars like yours that really are unmolested and untainted that it is a treat seeing them. How many 'mild customs' do you truly remember a year after seeing them? Or even wild customs? I dont know how much you think yours is worth, but every time someone gets on here with a thread about putting a narrowed beam in, or an upright motor, etc etc... the price of yours goes up. Same with Gizmo's, Robs, and the rest.

I couldnt sell mine either. Too rusty, too much wrapped up in it, and too much sentimentality at this point.

That interior is heinous. Also looks like generic aftermarket side trim. I sure like me a black 1500S notch, and there are some very good points about this car, but there's some major-league cluelessness going on here.

Yeah, but it's pretty attractive considering what else is out there...

True, and in the photos it looks like it could be put right fairly easily, but then again those "restoration" decisions might be a mere foreshadowing other hidden horrors.

I just noticed it doesn't have the proper license plate light on the back too.

I saw that and emailed him a couple minutes after the ad was placed and recommended he change the interior statement made above.

The ad text is updated now.

Black Notch - awesome
That interior - nooooooooooo

An interior is easier to fix than a paint job though.

If it was priced to account for an interior redo, I would be seriously tempted.

Your Notch is awesome but I don't want RHD, too confusing with the reverse pedals, LOL.

Keeps you out of drive- throughs, too, except for a place called "Burger Haus" in Ketchum, Id. Never could figure out why the dolts there put their window on the right. Rolling Eyes

Lies! I know the pedals are reversed and so is the shift pattern and all the gauges turn the opposite way too.
