Had just taken one of my mud and snow tyres to be repaired as it had a slow puncture. They 'fixed' it alright Rolling Eyes

My first attempt at leaving for the Winter Trail in the Ardennes. Got 55 miles before I heard a sharp 'crack' in the engine bay. Generator light came on, temps started to rise alarmingly. I pulled over asap.

I guessed I had snapped a belt, but that didn't explain the sharp 'crack' I had heard, rather than the usual "thwack thwack thwack..."
Actually I had busted the inner pulley wheel clean in two. Nothing I could fix.

So called the AA and waited to be recovered, and had fun with my camera in the meantime! Cool

(This is evening rish hour on a busy motorway. I'm wearing a hi-vis and the other side of the crash barrier. Feeling rather 'exposed' with no hazards on the bus.)

Home.

Busted.
