Just wondering if anyone has tried one of these on your merged headers and if so, how is it?

Reminds me of the fart cans the honda kids run on their cars around here.

Looks neat though Wink

kinda looks like the old spiral incerts of the 70's+80's.that a few co's had on the market. they didnot do a lot then but did some. I started making an all stainless flowmaster type muffler about 8 years ago about 4"X6"X14", never finished it, a fereind gave me a new stainless steel turbo(powertone a co in cali) it was made like a cat two halfs welded at the seams all the way around the endsand sides only about 3" thick 10" wide, with 3 2" perferated tubes inside, all straight through, but it is pretty quiet. I wish they still made it.I think they have gone to the fart cannon style now.

It should cut the noise down, but it will cut performance.

I made a slip in baffle for mine. I lost 3 tenths in the eigth. And the same with a 3" ID X 16" glass pack.

It will cut performance? Where do you get your data from?

I have one in my turbo down pipe, I like it. I noticed ZERO power loss with it installed, I'm using the three baffle unit. I did remove the cap on the end in the last pic, it did seem like it would be too restrictive.

Sorry, but we are talking about a normal engine. NOT a turboed one.

Your comment was referring to back pressure and power loss, I didn't see any other way that you could have meant it. Turbo our not, they work. Truth be told, turbo motors are more sensitive to back pursue than N/A.
