Custom skid plate (2wd)

Have any 2wd vanagon owners made a skid plate for the engine? I'm going to be working on one with www.wilsonfabworks.com and thought I could see if there were some already working models...

Aluminum or steel?

Awhile back, I saw a post on the forum of a very nice custom skid plate that (I believe) was made by Rocky Mtn Westy. Of course I can't find it now. Will keep looking for it.
