DO I do for with the down tubes that used to go to the heater boxs?Leave the flex tubes off?run them down through the tin?Thanx |

some guys plug the holes, some don't, some even plug the holes with plugs that have holes. Try a search and you will find lots of info. Do you have a pic of them installed?If they are plugged do you risk overheating? |

I got the parts for mine, waiting to git some time to crawl under and start _________________ 1302s sunroof..

Original poster, what's the engine and what type of header? Heaterbox delete tubes are often called "J-tubes" - even when on a competition style header.
If you're leaving off the heaterboxes, you want to block the holes in the tin, you can buy '2" knock-out seals' for electrical work that do the job quite well...as well as installing 1-7/8" freeze plugs in the shroud itself - this is where some people prefer to have holes drilled.
Here is a heaterbox riser I made to fit the customized header on my Baywindow...
