blacked out cookies with redlines would look badass!
i've already got a set of 14inch 4x130 from a Porsche sitting in my shed...they are Rare BWA Wheels that mostly are seen on Alfa's (different lug config)...when you told me about your 68 Panel these wheels on it or my 14inch Fuchs on that Panel with OCOD Logo'd on sides of it starting flashing in my mind....
here's another of my favorite 4luggers...on Sean's 914. ATS

found these in the wheel and tire forum from a guy in Brazil, in his post he calls them "mag wheel"...I've never seen them before, but I think I want them. I thought I was done when I finally scored my staggered RDW's with non lettered centers (don't want to give any credit to the toolbag that makes/sells them) but now I think I have a new favorite in the wide 5's
if I had a 4x130 car I'd be all over the KPZ(Kronprinz?) wheels
but...for 4x130 OG sprints are still my favorite
I won't get into my 4x100 collection/best of list for the waterfool in me that would end up being a friggin dissertation...some day when I build my german looker I'm gonna pull out all the stops and go completely off the deep end with the wheel and tire combo on it
so many killer choices in the 4x100 PCD that haven't been slapped on a bug...yet _________________ I don't care about the bug you used to own back in the day ,leave me alone I am trying to pump gas in my car |

Damn, those wheels are badass, if you find a set of 4, i'll take 2 from you...you know, i only 2 for one side of a car, no one ever really walks around a car to make sure you have a complete set of wheels
They remind me a little like those RDW Cyclones that i'm in love with!

Paul - nice pic, I agree that KPZ wheels are top notch. They appear on samba for sale sometimes. ATS wheels are nice too, maple grove '09 a set of 5 were sold for $100, I tried to buy them from the buyer for double. Damn guy with an accent, probably French.
Those mag wheels I think are from airkewld. Just painted rather than polished or chrome. Than again I might be wrong.
Brian, Cyclone wheels are very cool & since they are porsche 5 lug, you can change most cars to fit. They look like SAs & old Pontiac wheels. |

sorry for your loss larry. not a problem. if the green machine is in the area, i'm trying to round up cars that people haven't seen in awhile or ever and want to have a row of these cars on display. so your green machine would be perfect. I've contacted Eric to see if he could bring out his K70 and/or his Type 4. I wanted Jason's 54 out but it's up for sale right now. I have to swing by Corbo's and see if we can get his "Drag Bus" out on display too. My buddy Todd has an early ghia (58 or 59) with something like 29k OG miles on it that most haven't seen. There are 2 people i know in Norristown that have bugs that i'm trying to get in touch with to come out too--Carl has a 56 that hasn't been seen in years, and Dini has a gorgeous 63 Ragtop that if i remember correctly is something like the 2nd to Last 63 Ragtop off the assembly line. Chris's 58 would make another nice display car --hint, hint, hint!!!!
If anyone knows of any other guys around with a vw or early audi that isn't at every other car show or doesn't get to a lot of shows, see if they'd be interested in displaying it at DF this year.
I think Tom's bug will also be perfect on display this year at DF too!!! I want to have a special section of these cars on 1 side of our OCOD Tent and have the "Evolution of the Bug" display on the other side.
here's a couple...

Titanio Venus made in Brazil, the hunt is on...
I love the rarest rim ever thread
I found a complete and solid 65 buick riviera sitting in a yard...left my business card on their door. pray to allah they don't know what it's worth that being said there could be a VW parts and vintage cooler collection blowout in the near future...plus a call to my mom asking to "borrow" a bay in her garage _________________ I don't care about the bug you used to own back in the day ,leave me alone I am trying to pump gas in my car |

I like that thread too. After looking at the pics of those wheels, I'm not convinced they are 5x205. The lugs look a smaller circumference. I also find it odd that the wheels that everyone now thinks are cool, are wheels that no one wanted when they were available. Were they that ugly back in the day? I stand by my theory, for every wheel there is a car. Not all wheels look good on every car. The best thing about wheels, they are the cheapest & easiest way to change the look of your car. Keep a car & stock pile wheels.
I'm even considering changing my lug pattern to run cosmics, cyclones or even Monte Carlos that I have laying here. |

I'm honored to even be considered for this. I may not bring my car out for any shows & let Drip Fest be it's first east coast gig. I have a few cars up my sleeve that I know of that haven't been seen in 20+ years & another that has never been seen. I will do a little work to see what I can find. Some how I see Drip Fest as being my new favorite show (sorry Campbelltown & your lame shirts, I'll still love you). I may be OCODrunk on the Swing Axle Stout at Drip Fest. |

I hope you guys can mark your calendars this year for Dub N Rub that Sharon puts on. We've been handing out flyers and supporting this show since she started a few years back! Last year, Rick Milne printed up the DnR stickers for the show on behalf of the OCOD. We've had DnR flyers at Dripfest each year too. This year we're going to get Beanies, Bags, and hopefully Stickers again this year for the show and have a more visual presence at the show selling the swag for breast cancer!
not to pull at your heartstrings, but my cousin Jen lost her battle and passed away this week of breast cancer. She was only 38yrs old and left this world too soon! I'd really love to have a nice OCOD turnout at Dub N Rub this year to show our support, hopefully you guys can attend this show again this year!!!

So sorry to see that Brian. It is amazing how many families are effective from this and how many lives are changed too early. Let me know when everything is and we can go from there. Maybe some OCOD pink ribbon swag....Or just donations....Let me know. |
