Hello everybody, My name is Alex from El Salvador and I have a 1302 standard, 1600cc.
I read everyday this forum because is very interesting and really usefull and I´d love to post often but my english isnt good.
1 year ago I replaced the front drum brakes for disk brakes. This week, reading the posts in this thread somebody mentioned something about put the calipers backwards ( with the bleeder in the lower side of the caliper)
Maybe I put the right caliper in the left and the left in the right side.
This is the picture of the right caliper. Is in the wrong side?
Thanks in advance.

if each caliper only has one bleeder, and that bleeder is at the bottom, then yes you have them installed on the wrong sides. i'm not sure how you managed to make this work, since air will definitely be trapped in the caliper with them installed this way. i'll bet your brake pedal is very soft and spongy. |

Interesting, I can´t believe I put them in the wrong position. The pedal isnt soft, no spongy. The only thing is that when I push the pedal for 1 min. or so, the sistem looses presure and the pedal goes lower and lower.
Thanks Torsionbar, I´ll fix the mistake asap. |
