i got new speakers for my bus for my birthday. i installed them about a week or so ago, and now none of my speakers work. before i installed them, i took out one old speaker and plugged my new ones in and everything worked, including the back ones. once i installed my new front speakers, the radio turned on and said it was playing something, but none of the speakers worked. it doesnt look like any of the fuses are blown and it doesnt look like the wire connections are messed up at all. any ideas on what this could be?

One of the wires is grounding out somewhere. When one of the speaker wires touches the metal body, none of the speakers work.

you have to:

(1) match the impediance between the speaker and the radio as specified by the manufacturer
(2) following the wiring diagram as specified by the manufacturer
(3) make sure no wires are shorted to ground unless specified

i followed the wiring diagrams when i set it all up, and i cant find any wires that would be grounding out. im really stumped on this, i have no idea what it could be. everything was working before i hooked up the new front speakers. before i cut the holes in the doors to permanently mount the speakers, i just connected the speaker wires to them to make sure they worked and all 4 did, so i know the speakers arent the problem.

i figured it out. i pulled the bottom of my door panel off, and the metal part where the speaker wire hooks up to the speaker was touching the metal part of the door. thanks for the help! it just took me till now to figure out what the problem was haha
