hmmm. i wonder if schwenky will try to defend is claimed "TM" on the Syncro de Mayo name? may want to proceed with caution using that name.
either way sounds like fun, when are you thinking? i was thinking of being up that way late summer, would love to come. |

I'd be really interested in attending depending on the date. I hesitate to say I will as last year every meet I planned to go to the Van couldn't make it but here's hoping for 2011. Can you post a fixed date and place when you have it. Thanks _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...

I would love to attend if we can keep this thread on point and discuss a date and venue, and not get into all that related BS from the left coast.
Lets learn from it and move on please!

Dylan,
I'm with you, hence a name change to avoid any drama.
Here is another post trying to drum up some interest:

I'm curious what Alaric.H has to say since he might have valuable input on Uwharrie or other possible sites. |

although i say "TM" because i doubt he legally obtained a trademark on the name. search of the TESS gov database shows no trademark for SdM... http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=searchss&state=4002:ff2ii1.1.1
i'm really not trying to drag the east coasters into the drama, i'm just saying, given the recent crusade to claim ownership of SdM, he would be opening himself up by not defending the claim.
whatever it's called, i would love to attend. |

AND 2WD participating at a lower level plus cheering Syncros on. Hopefully East will not prejudice us adventuresome, challenge oriented 2 WD!. _________________ '09 2.5L Jetta 5 cylinder, 5 spd, super turbo, see thread in H2O Cooled Jetta, etc...

Wow, I guess they finally decided June was too hot! I've been to Moab several times and agree May is a better choice.
I'd LOVE to make it to that event but doubt I'd travel that far unless some fellow east coasters plan to caravan??? Then I could be convinced! |

Not that I'll likely make it, nor do I have a Syncro, but remember that May pretty much rules out most people with school-age kids, if mid-week or mid-week travel required.
Of course with the amount of snow days this year, even late June would rule family particiaption out, at least us from the North East!
