I always wondered how many rare and exciting parts they were for the Vanagons. I know of a few like the Vanagon floor mats, headlight washers or the rear escape lever in the rear door. Do you guys know of any others? |

I remember seeing a scan of a Votex catalog from the mid-'80's that had all kinds of cool Vanagon accessories. I can't find the link, though.
Considering I've been looking for it for the past couple of hours, I'm going to back away for a little while and actually earn my paycheck. _________________ Joe T.

Got an H&K MP5 submachine gun holder for my Doka. It's fully felt lined with rubber bumpstops to hold the weapon. Lock is identical to the one used on the glovebox and on the optional locking single seat pedestal box.

Oh man, I love those levelers on page 17! I like to camp level and those little orange plastic blocks I use are a PITA! _________________ Currently:

Headlight levelers, presumably for when there's a heavy trailer in back - the dial at the far right.
Also, webasto heater. |

Incredible! There are a hundred mod ideas in there.
The pop-out side windows on page 7...They also appear to be double-paned. I want them!!! _________________ Joe T.

I see quite a few things in there that were/ are in my van.
Page 4: #5 is the color of my interior;
Page 7: #7 This is the window over my sink/ stove/ fridge, the van came with the mozzie net for the backdoor, but not the slider;
Page 9: #6 This is my rear heater. It runs on petrol from the main tank, and the pump for it is NLA...
Page 16: #4 These are the windows I have on my van. PITA!!! VERY fragile (I've broken TWO!), and VERY expensive! 200Euros EACH to replace! However, keeps the van nice and cosy at night.....
Page 19: #16 This fire exstiguisher was still mounded in the van, on the passenger seat. It was empty, but still there, in the mount. It was too old to be refilled, and nothing else fit on the mount, so I took them both out and monted the new one just inside the slider, behind the passenger seat.
Page 20: Mine is the Club Joker 1.

I had no idea you could also acquire the previous owner...
...so you could ask him about the stupid things he did to the electrical system. I wish I'd known. _________________ 1984 Westy with tencentlife power! |

Behr underseat auxiliary AC evaporator/blower with vents on the side panels. Bought one thinking it was an in-dash Behr. |
