In the newer coil Is there a pin or post in the center of the hole that the wire attaches?
My 84 has just a hole that a fitting just goes into and it looks like I have the wrong dis cap and wires-- it doesn't make a tight fit on the coil... just want to make sure that the coil fittings are indeed different on the newer ones --
can't seem to find this info-- thanks!

Found my own answer--from van cafe:
For 1985 models, we recommend confirming that you have the correct coil for this kit. When you pull the coil wire out of the coil, there should be a post or stud in the center of the coil's orifice for the wire to grab onto - if so, this is the correct kit (if not then you use the VC.84tunueupkit).
