Anyone help me out on this one?
I've looked at the Tech paint/upholstery and i'm not sure what the difference is between the Light brown (55-58 ) or caramel (58-61) upholestery.
They are listed with a different name but both with number 76.
Here's the details taken from the Tech section;
March 1955 up to July 1958
From Chassis Number 20 117 902 up to 374 810
Upholstery
Standard light brown (76)
Upholstery
Deluxe light brown (76)
August 1958 up to March 1961
From Chassis Number 374 811 up to 749 000
Upholstery
Standard caramel brown (76)
Heres a link to pics of the seat itself; http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1048468
Sorry its a link to my ad but i've had people asking if its definitely caramel and i don't know for sure, so any ideas on this would be much appreciated.
Cheers,

I'm not an expert, but that looks like Carmel to me. Also, It has white beading, I think Beige/earlier seats would have the black beading.
Early..

that seat is certainly a caramel seat.
for reference:
the color is different, but they are both brown.
the grain on the vinyl is different between the two.
the piping is brown for the light brown seat.
the piping is white for the caramel brown seat.
and for the ultra rare wildcard, there were non-deluxe light brown seats in special paint postal yellow standards. perhaps other color special paint buses. _________________ .

Especially since the rear seat is clearly a Standard Microbus seat and not a Deluxe seat.

What differentiates a deluxe/non deluxe rear seat? |

Non Deluxe have a protector strip screwed into the back top of the seat
Deluxe rear seats have 3 sets of mounting holes to mount the upright brackets for the luggage bar _________________ Every Decision A Man Makes Has An Effect On The Sum Of His Life
