So is this a wolfsburg bus as well? Looks like it only has 1 position rear hatch prop? |
It's a wolfsburg bus.
One thing I found interesting was when they painted the rear hatch they were held open approx. 12 inches and sprayed on the bus as the seal is painted and you can see in the hinge where it was opened to.
I need a few parts for it.
1 pair SBL 17 tail lights complete in good original condition and 1 rear reflector. I could also use 1 original HELLA front t/s lens in good original condition.
I want good used parts not NOS as they need to match the patina of the bus.
Monday I'll post a lot more pictures.
If there is anything anybody needs to see to help with their restoration, p-mail me and I will take pics of that area and post them _________________ Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels"

20 131109
5 2/55 wheels
VW logo lugnuts number 296802. Some of the lugs appear to have different numbers,
I didn't take them all off and do not want to wire wheel them. I am letting a couple soak in evaporust to clean them. If these come out good I will do all 20 of them
I believe I found tail lights, a reflector and a bullet t/s lens, thank you Samba members. _________________ Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels"

Very nice find, look forward to good photo documentation.
What colour is the headliner, if you peeked into a clean unfaded area to see the true colour?
Also, you HAVE to leave in the dixie cup dispenser! cool period accessory... |

Awesome bus!
Ronnie,
Please don't let this owner "personalize" it like your customer with the all original safari walkthru mango bus did... |

I am at a loss for adjectives that even come close to expressing how cool that bus is.
I really like both my buses and am not even hunting for anything else, but that bus has got to be pretty much my Holy Grail.
I am in awe. _________________ The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge

It's up to the owner. I am freshening up the original 36hp.
Today we pressure washed the underside, it was packed with mud which revealed a couple little areas that will need some attention when cleaned.
Got the rear bumper brackets and splash pans off and the rear decklid to start the repairs on it.
Picking away a little at a time day to day _________________ Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels"

i got a great deal on 6.40x15s from summit racing if he is looking for the proper tire profile to match the original 36 horse. _________________ Extravagant Lifestyle
