Sure wish there was a Bluestar emblem available. I'd pay real Merkin dollars for one of those _________________ Casey--

251 part prefix is for a van body not a truck.
245 or 247 part prefix is for a truck.
Truck body style is 245-248 and the truck only parts reflect this in the part number prefix.

There are many different methods out there, several which are described here: http://cabby-info.com/Files/BadgeRestoration.pdf . _________________ ~Kamz

Mine is in the mail from europe. Paypal feels less like real money than even a CC.
Hopefully it's right, but I think I may have been duped and he's going to bait and switch me for a T5 badge. We'll see. |

From reading some of the posts here I guess that I can consider myself lucky to have gotten this badge from a friend of mine for free. Its almost mint.

Yep, a T5 badge showed up. Should have known better. I paid so damn much for it after shipping I feel like I should at least keep it and make it wall art.
I don't really blame the seller. The listing wasn't specific and I didn't ask. |

Another gift from abroad. I now understand why my wife gets so pist...
Never inexpensive, but brings a smile to my face...(around $50 with shipping I think)
Now to figure out how to install. This one is brand new. I paid extra to have it printed in reverse...(jk)
I read that people over seas love the Vanagon emblem, while we pay $50 for the transporter emblems here...just goes to show (again) that the grass is ALWAYS greener... _________________ On a mission, the destination is just an excuse.

They might pop up on British Ebay or German Ebay from time to time.
I'm digging the Microbus badge. I don't know if I'd trade the Transporter one for it though:

I picked one up from a Samba member here (Yogivw), and I recall seeing one on the parts classifieds within the last few months. You can also check out Lar's site:
http://stores.ebay.de/Der-VW-T3-Bus-Schrottplatz
He often carries a few too, shipping is not too bad from EU. Very dependable vendor.
If not I do have an extra one that had the chrome finish rubbed off; I sanded it down and painted it satin black, but ended up finding a nice chrome finish to use on the Doka instead. PM me if your interested.
Now you do know there are two different Transporter badges, ones that fit the Doka/Sinka and ones that were placed on the Euro vans, right? _________________ ~Bryan

There are 2 different versions for the vanagon- truck and van body. IIRC the same is true of the eurovans.
