Yeah, saw that and the fat boy even mentioned the Volkswagen
connection. Somebody on the research team did a decent job feeding
him information for the show. Rolling Eyes
The Binz scooter restored would be awesome. I'd roll it.

That Binz would be sweet in the back of a Binz pickup.

I would enjoy meeting her in person. She does seem to be a rather interesting female.

her dancing name is Dannie Diesel. that would explain why Mike sometimes seems to call her" Dannie-D". he has obviously seen her show

Stopped by on Saturday, they were closed but I still talked to them for a minute. They said that 2 busses stop per hour. When we were there about 20 people stopped when they were closed. They opened a second shop in Nashville, I bet they can barely walk around in Le Claire. They close the shop when shooting for the show. (Its on their website). It seemed more like a gift shop for the show, with another room of antiques. I am sure tons of people come in and buy a TShirt.

As far as ripping people off, I don't think they misrepresent what they are doing. Maybe people need to watch more than one or two episodes before they decide they're out to rip off grandpa.

There is now a guy who works there who has a split van, in the pic. VERY nice people when I talked with them, and the one who was working that day (not either of the show guys) Was very informed on VW it seemed to me. He told me a funny story about the SC, and I'll leave it at that.
