Miss laura she sent a email saying she would take $1,500 cash for a 1955 oval project if I would pick it up that same night then she email me back saying. No I want $18,500.00 cash.?????? (Please get real)... be careful could be a scam she wont give you no phone # she will only email you.

perhaps she misunderstood you or you made a mistake in the decimal point in your offer as in 15,000.00 as opposed to 1,500.00 maybe?

I think it's pretty clear it was $18,500 but she was willing to go for $15K in cash immediately.

I would not go over to some unknown person's house at night with $15K in cash though. I have done stuff like that in cash, even for WAYYYYY more money but I meet the person at the bank or in a secure location.

$1500 was clearly a type-o. There is no reason to get all bent out of shape. Asking if she meant $1850 is a totally dick move, I don't think you could have found a running 3-fold ragtop bug for $1850 20 years ago. Is the car worth $18.5K? Not in my opinion but it's closer to the actual value than $1850.
