Doghouse dual port in a 74 Bay Window

Hi All,

I've got a '74 (built in late '73) Bay Window that I found on a farm down South. The bus itself is in pretty good shape. The original motor though is long gone and in it's place is a dual port 1600 from an earlier bus or bug with the doghouse fan. I haven't gotten the engine running yet but if I do, will this bus be ok with this motor or would it be better with the pancake type fan that it had originally? I've heard that I may not be able to get itto stay cool enough. Anyone ever done this type of swap? Any suggestions?
