You guys have some really nice dokas!! I don´t have a 2wd T3 at the moment but its a plan! Syncro are great, but 2wds are the better drive! Until they get too low, that is Very Happy

A few pics just to show that dokas rule.

Wait a minute! My single cab's a Syncro and that's all that it powers off its only belt. I'm glad I don't have air conditioning or power steering, but is there something Syncro-specific I'm missing?

Oh no! Does this mean there will be an Official Singlecab thread following soon?!

On a separate note, drunk driver came plowing over a curb and destroyed two bushes and one small tree two nights ago. He's excuse was my 2wd Doka was about to hit him head on. He swerved in front of my Doka and came to rest five away away - sideways. The problem with his story is my Doka was parked across the street in the opposite direction where it's been all week. He drove across the divider apparently wanting to make a left turn into a tree and up an over the curb. No Dokas were harmed in the making of this true story.

I wish someone would make these gates in the US. I know Winkler used to sell fiberglass versions of this. I've seen some steel ones for sale on German eBay but the vendor won't ship to the US. Besides, his version had large corners and terminated in a flat tailgate. He also permanently affixed the side gates. The 'glass versions I've seen were all operational. The downside (no pun intended) on the Winkler version is they used standard household quality hinges.

I think we should segregate normal Doka's and lowered Doka's in a thread.
Sorry, but a lowered Doka reminds me of this nightmare

How much can I tow with the Doka? 2wd Automatic version? I am getting a hitch from Burley next week, and I have stock Truck springs that I think are heavier than a vanagon has, but I don't really know. Any chance someone in 2wd land has a VW spec sheet with Towing Tongue weight, and total pulling capacity? I see that awesome Doka pulling a travel trailer, and that is exactly what I want to do. I would do a super light airstream if possible.

Thanks

VSpecter: is this the doka that actually had two trucks from Canada? one was rusty but had a good motor, and the other had a good body?

in a number of photos, The DOKS's have fiberglass "cladding "and bumpers similar to my 91 MultiVan
Are these all custom pieces modified from late model Vanagon pieces, or are there DOKA-specific pieces available?
