They don't look bad , but they were simply not the look that I wanted for my buggy , after spending 500$ on a stainless roll bar and couple of motors parts in chrome, I want it to go with the chrome wheel ! Here the pictures have a look at them and tell me what yo think
So I still have some few thing to do but for now the buggy is 90% complete ! I have installed my side pods and I took some pictures on how it was install , If u guys want me to post it ill do it with no problem since no one really post a picture of how to install them or how they manage to do it ... |

I'm liking everything I see there. I'd like to see the sidepod work when you get a moment or two to put those up.... Thanks _________________ Gary

Even though I have a reasonable idea how the pods go on, I'd like to see install pics and info. I have to do this in a few weeks on my Berrien Nostalgia. |

I would also like to see some mounting pics and info. I'm waiting for the shop to get more berrien dash supports in and I'll be ordering it along with sidepods for my minivolks. |

K1z4r,
My favorite thing about these buggies is how they are the perfect canvas for creative ideas and visions. I love the fact that almost no two are alike and yet they all the same.
Your basic theme of black and chrome makes your buggy stand out. It's a good looking buggy.

Okay so i have upload the picture on how i have mount my side pods and ill explain as well ...
So i figure there's many way to place them and it depends on how you want the sidepods to look like , heres the 2 pictures to show you the difference ...
So on this side pods , you can't see the tips of the side pods, they follows the line of the shell, thats how I installed mine , i think it looks better that way ... looks more like it's mold to the shell , does'nt look like something was add there .
The other way is like this one where you can see the end of the side pods , it's an other way to install them ... I had trouble to have them mount identical so we did our best on mounting them , we tried to install them like the red buggy , but each sidepods were different when we had them installed meaning , they didn't fit the same that is why i have use rubber washer like the picture below ...
Here's my front side pods how i have attach them to the shell
For the front i have simply use 2 bolt , to attach them , although , some how the sidepods dont fit quite well , in the front i had a gap of about half an inch so i decided to use rubber washer to make them fit. You can see the top bolt did'nt need any rubber but the bottom one need a couple of them ...
For the back i could'nt attach it like it is suppose to be , simply 2 bolt place straing in the shell , wich is the easiest way to mount them ... I have a roll back in the back and i could'nt do any hole there because the roll bar was in the way ... so i have creater brackets to mount them directly on the frame ...
It's the only way i could figure out how to mount them in the back because of my roll bar , of course if you dont have a roll bar it will be easier for you to moun them in the back , if you have one you stille can create brackets like i did. I have test them to make sure it was solid it and i could'nt move it even a little !! That's how finnaly got my sidepods mount !! |

My Color is not on your list, they are great to work with. They can do an up charge, but the shop had enough of this color to do a complete body in stock so they did not charge me extra. They will not do any flake because of contamination if the powder gets loose.

Berrien buggy are still doing color black , they do quite alot of color for the nostalgia:
The Valspar website displays more colors than we normaly use & we do not always refer to them by the same name, but I've listed their color numbers with the color names we use below.
White 5W-1
Black N/A
Canary Yellow 5L-27
Golden Yellow 5L-55
Lime Green 5G-28
Forest Green 5G-51
Aqua 5A-18
Med. Blue 5A-16
Dark Blue 5A-17
Teal 5A-19
Orange 5N-12
Bubble Gum Pink 5R-24
Red 5R-14
Maroon 5R-15
Purple 5R-44
Boysenberry 5R-26 |
|
Your orange color looks to me to be Tangerine,5N50
I dont understand what that means about the flake jobs,if the powder gets loose? _________________ AKA RDP's Gelcoater |
