Seems like a stupid question, but how in the world do you remove the front table knob without completely buggering up the keeper? _________________ "Saying what we think gives us a wider conversational range than saying what we know."

The knob should just screw out. UNLESS, the PO had used it roughly and put a mushroom end on the screw.
Then I would suggest judicious use of a flat file down the table leg tube to 'un-mushroom' it before unscrewing it all the way out. _________________ '88 VW Westfalia

It has one of those washer looking things that holds the threaded part.
There is a small ridge on the bolt, below the threaded part, that the washer holds on to with little fingers.
I can get the bolt out for sure, but I would likely destroy this washer with the fingers. _________________ "Saying what we think gives us a wider conversational range than saying what we know."

I realize now, the knob that I bought is completely different than the one on the table arm. Does anyone know where I might buy one like the one in the pictures below?
Here's the one that I would like to replace:

Thanks, but that's the exact one that I bought.
It is very different than the one pictured above. _________________ "Saying what we think gives us a wider conversational range than saying what we know."

If I can find a captive washer thing, like in the first pic, I could remove the bolt and use the knob from the link you provided and re-use the bolt.
Anybody know where I can find the bolt keeper thing pictured above?
I haven't looked at HD yet. Might be standard hardware? _________________ "Saying what we think gives us a wider conversational range than saying what we know."
