That's awesome! Shocked Cool

My '51 was first delivered to Neue AMAG in Zurich, and has AMAG stamps on it. I'd love to find a box like that to match it!!

Depends a bit on what you are looking for. You might want to look at Cambergs historic town centre. For example at the "Marktplatz" or at the "Alter Amtshof". A little outside of Camberg is the "Kreuzkapelle", a little chapel on the hills over Cambergs valley.

Thanks you very much for the tip Mario! On Sunday afternoon (when the sun finally came out...) I did a fotoshoot of a nice Bus at 'Kreuzkapelle', a really wonderful location Cool.

The bus (a '67 Type 264) was not seen by many people, as it could not participate in the event, being not old enough... However, on Sunday morning, when many participants had already left, it has been spotted on the showground Wink

This thing is cool! What is it? Spare parts kit?

Hi Kev,
this is a 1954 VW dealer SOS-Kit from Switzerland, produced by VW distributor
Ammak for his swiss VW dealers. Everybody talked in BC from this box! In this
box are all important spare parts when a VW has a breakdown. All parts are
new and have their own place. On the cover inside, you can see the spare
partnumbers and the prices. Semaphores, semaphore switch, distributor cap,
wipers etc....80% split and 20% early oval bug parts. It came with my new
1950 Heb. The seller was an old VW dealer. This was the onliest box he has
seen in his life. The box is coming up in a few magazines in the future Wink

One guy saw the box in BC next to my car, and asked me if it is for sale. I just said:
"Sorry man, I bought it just a few minutes ago by the drunken guy over there for 50 Euros"

I'd love to see a parts list of whats included.

I'd like to figure out what the tools would be required to affect the replacement of every spare included. Then maybe putting my own version together, with a matching tool box. It would be as good as any other place to keep spares. Probably better, as they would be handy when needed.

Interesting. I'm trying to remember the last time I had a breakdown. Oh yeah, the pin fell out of my fuel pump once. I don't see a fuel pump in that box. If these were British cars OTOH...

First, that huge kit is awesome, I am super jealous.

There's probably a fuel pump diaphragm - that's what my baby kit has in it:

A small kit is nothing to be ashamed of Ev. It is what you do with the parts in your kit that counts............ Wink
