Jeff- I assume you finally got all the cabinets out. How did the rust behind the fridge area look? _________________ _________________________________

there is no such thing as a CHEAP SYNCRO WESTY
once you get it back to roadtrip worthy, in the end this will be darn near retail
if you have/had to pay someone else to work on it with the extensive neglect and age it'd be a better deal to buy a 14K+ syncro westy
but you'll still come out in a nice place as long as you continue to DIY and have a support of a neighbor & this list.
congrats, we are of course envious..there were very few Syncro Westfalias imported to the US, somewhere in the ~2,000 units range. _________________

I have not fully removed the cabinets yet. This past week my 4th daughter was born Plus I had to catch up on work so not much time.
One of the cool things when I get ready to remove that rusty side Steve has a Vanagon junk yard so we will just cut it out of another he has
The Van is really running very good when its cold then when it warms up it starts to run very rich. Might be getting to much air through the exhaust leaks. Running wise thats it We thought the VC was bad, but it ended up being the the rear end not disengaging it was a vacuum problem. |
