Hi folks,
Does anyone know if this company is still in business:
http://banditbuggy.com/kits.htm
Their website looks like it was updated in 2005 and a call to the listed phone number went unanswered. I'm oping they are still around, but I'm not sure... |

I'm not sure, but I heard the owner got a regular job, and hasn't spent allot of time doing the manx stuff anymore. Pacific customs was carrying there stuff, but when I spoke with them they couldn't tell me what was going on.
I'm not trying to steal customers, but if you need a manx body, give me a call. (760)744-8909 I can help www.frpmanx.com |

I stopped by there about a year ago on my way to LA. He wasn't there but his father owns the bussiness directly in front of his shop, some kind of truck stuff, caps and stuff. Anyway, he showed me around and said they were only building the Bandit II as the molds for the bandit were in bad shape. There were a few in progress buggies in there. I spoke with the owner the next day on his cell phone and it seemed he was starting to get more aggresive with sales, possibly the deal with Pacific Customs Ive looked for his cell number but can't find it. |

Not yet, but I did see the bodies for sale on the Pacific Customs website. Only bummer there is that they are asking $2500 for just the body (I think.) He was asking $2500 for what looked like an almost complete kit, less chasis, engine and tranny. But $2500 is still pretty cheap! |

Hey guys, I know this response is delayed but Bandit Buggy in San Bernardino is still operational and has never shut it's doors. I just started back with Bandit after a few year break but we are still working on a limited basis.
We are still selling bodies as requests come in. We're only selling the Bandit 2 model as someone stated. We do still take on 95% Turn Key builds as time allows.
The phone is answered when we are there and can get to it. Otherwise just leave a message and we'll get back to you.
Our website was down at one point and is outdated at the moment. We are working on trying to correct this in a timely manner.
Thanks for your interest in Bandit Buggy.

New website address, www.banditdunebuggy.com. Some individual hijacked our web addresses a few months ago and is trying to extort money to get them back. Instead of fighting the legal battle right now we bought new domains. If we can get them back we will let you know. _________________ '68 Mexican Beetle dubbed "Bastard Bug"

Is it saying that the server got itself into trouble? If so, remove the . at the end of the domain that somehow attached itself in my post. or click below

Wow $2500 for a body ? Not that Im looking for one now, but I don't remember buggy bodies being that much last I looked..I thought similar ones like Berriens were going for $12-$1500? _________________ 1963 Ragtop Bug |

Nothing Berrien has is comparable to the Bandit 2. The body that you might be referring to was our Bandit 1. It is very similar to what they still offer and retailed for $1500. Theirs is almost $1600. _________________ '68 Mexican Beetle dubbed "Bastard Bug"
