"Hippies never fix their brakes!" I love it!!!
Gotta make that a bumber sticker for sure!!

As far as the babe and the old dude; well,,,,,,didn't the Eagles or Doobie Brothers write a song about that.

Time to hit the hookah and pull out some 8 tracks, cuz I can't remember anymore......

Maybe they remember the old popular VW bumper stickers warning about following behind a VW. You know, the old "....mark their spot...." stickers.

The babe in the Maserati remided me of of a situation a friend was in. He had his beautiful bug vert in a high end car show parked amongst some 250K sporty jobs. The guy in the Lamborghini next to him wasn't thrilled when the vert got the most attention.
Actually it's commonplace in shows for an ACVW of any type to get more attention than the $50-80,000 customs, classics & rods.
Out on the streets people in new big SUV's, expensive high end cars, sporty jobs, or whatever don't get the frequent thumbs up, offers to buy, or chit chats that we commonly get.

At about 4 in the morning there is no one on the Astoria (Or. to Wa.) bridge, a 4.5 mile causeway and high span over the Columbia. I was traveling about 65 which is 10 over. A Hondoo came up right on my ass and stayed there. He could have passed anytime, we were the only cars on the bridge.
He stayed right on my bumper until the stop light at the end of the bridge, then he pulled up next to me and flipped me the bone while screaming "Fucked-up hippie" Rolling Eyes

I'd have chased him down but he'da probably shot my ass.

A little "tap" on the brakes could have solved that pretty quick. Twisted Evil

Not a good idea. If you've ever been slammed into from behind (from f-ing racing meth heads), you'd know that you lose all control, and if you can't stop when hurtling toward that Jersey barrier, your chances of walking away are slim to none. I got lucky. And that was in a tank of a Chevy van. Slow down gradually, and let them choose to go around you.

That's why I said "a little tap". Bright red brake lights usually gets people's attention. I don't ever want anyone running into the back of my bus.

Correct. Hit the pedal enough to turn on the brake lights but not enough to start stopping. They will respond. If not then do it again. But if they still do it hit the pedal a bit harder. If they still don't understand just slam on the brakes. Or keep slowing down slower and slower. But don't completely stop unless you have a bulletproof vest on.

If they're texting like most around here are they won't see any piddly little brake lights, I watched a woman sail through a red light last week with her nose in the phone, she din't even look up until she was across both lanes Shocked A few months ago a guy buried his BMW under the ass of my kids school bus and almost decapitated himself, how do you miss a giant, bright yellow vehicle with lights the size of your head on the back?
