Wow it looks like it is trying to self recycle. _________________ "What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: 'tis dearness only that gives everything its value. Except for the fact that its sitting in the dirt, that is just about what mine looked like when I bought it ten years ago in Seattle. Wish I had pics, but I didnt take any till aftert it was washed/cleaned. _________________ Jim in Sacto -

That post is a scam, or at least pictures of that car have been used to scam people through Craigslist ads. The guy has posted before offering the same car as a '64 for $2000, after you respond he asks for a deposit and then bails with the money. _________________ '68 Sunroof Squareback

Wasn't a scam...owners are very nice and are dealing with many estate issues. Towed the car home, and washed off the "patina". I was a little tempted to leave it on, like you said you can't buy that kind of finish. But after fighting ants and saving frogs, it was time for a scrub.
Floor pans are completely gone, and interior is unusable. Could not believe the tires held air when I filled them. Would have made the woods extraction much easier.

It looks like a different car after you cleaned it up. I wondered what motivated you, then I saw the bottle of liquid courage behind the rear wheel. _________________
