got a call a few weeks ago asking if i buy vw's. i said yes, what do you have? the answer: a 1969 bus, needs fuel pump to run. how much? 600.00. i go look and offer 500.00, he takes it, after replacing the fuel pump and carb, she runs but needs some wiring done, coil is wired directly to the battery, it has the early yellow (2pc, haha) fuse box. its actually a 1970, built in 9-69.

OK, I'm always surfing CL for Vanagon parts. Saw this today. Kinda close to me, but not real close. No title, kinda rusty, not running, but hey...could be a cool project or parts van. Check it out.

For free? It's probably haunted or possessed, did the PO mention the name Christine? Are you sure you didn't get ripped off? |

Could be the best $10 you spend this year! _________________ Eric

early bay Grey face clock working and mint from a strong running but rotted Westie; also perfect front seats and door skins, mint floormats, new windscreen and a nice pair of early bumpers. etc etc..
paid $500, sold remainder for $500 = good deal
seeing correct clock instead of cluster blank = priceless |

bus cover, $50 from local classifieds. claimed to have paid over $500 "custom made . this woman was funny. shes said her bus burned down. after a long trip, they had just returned back from camping, and "some kids threw a Molotov cocktail under my bus"....
i wonder whats more likely, molotovs or your standard run-of-the-mill engine fire??
stool, $15, local classifieds again, this guy apparently stored it for the last 30 years.
he had a lot more calls on it after i told him i'll take it! _________________ May of '72 Deluxe. 2.0L L-Jet CS & 091 trans conversion

Ya, right. You should have asked her if she thought the frost was gonna affect the rhubarb this year.

You done good. I have a cover; don't use it much, but it's nice to know it's there. Feels good to find a deal doesn't it? _________________ *****************

Minus the $5 working Blaupunkt, this was all FREE! A VW guy I see at the shows was keeping all this stuff for me in his garage
