Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I have the Bentley manual for my year and it shows something completely different than what I have pictured. It shows an insert that looks like a T with splines. I have a big bolt as pictured, no splines.
Do I have things arranged correctly for installation? Bolt goes through as shown, cap the end with a washer and nyloc nut, call it a day? How tight should the bolt be in the bracket, because I can't even get it to budge by hand.

Pretty sure those ones with the pressed steel base like that are late 73/74 only.
Mines got the same, the 71-73 had a cast base instead with the steering lock adjusters on the top.

Thats why I didn't comment when I seen the post last night Wink its nothing like the heavy cast one on my 72.

Thats good info to know. I got 2 sent over to me for my RHD conversion and one was cast and one stamped. i used the cast one thinking the stamped one might have been an aftermarket replacement. Does anyone have pics of the 2 different bushings? topline lists 71-72 and 73-74 with a chassis number split between 72 and 73.

So is everything fine with this set up? I know the bushings are different as Topline shows in their catalogue, and don't want to be using the wrong bushing for my application.

Bumping this with another question. What's supposed to move on this set up? The whole bolt and arm, or just the arm? Because my bolt is locked in SOLID and will not move at all, even after sanding it smooth and filing it a bit.. However, the arm still pivots on the smooth part of the bolt head just fine.
