Clean or refinish the Popup roof from mildew.

The inside of my 82 westfalia popup roof has some mildew that discolored and partially damaged the finish. Has anyone suggestions to refinish the inside of the roof. Does not have to look original but otherwise nice.

get a bucket of water with 1 cap full of bleach. scrub the mildew with the solution and it will vanish like magic.

Or straight bleach. Worked like a charm, barely had to scrub. More like spray on. Wipe off. Kind of caustic on your lungs and eyes though. Shocked

Spray 100% bleach on the fabric. WEAR A RESPIRATOR (not dust mask) & GOGGLES. Watch it disappear.

I think I find what I was looking for... the roof I have come from an 82 westy and half of it got contaminated by mold...

Diluted Tilex will work well too! Just spray and wipe with a wet sponge or rag. Do make sure
that you dilute the mixture and don't breath it in. I run a fan when I am doing cleaning like
this . Actually it was yesterday that I clean the inside of the poptop and canvas.
