The Randar Wheels guy did that to a '63 DC.
His randarwheels profile
If you search his Gallery, you find this photo, it says "Thanks to Jason of RustBox"

Thanks. But I don't think that's the truck I heard about. The truck I heard about as legend has it. Was a regular double cab. It was converted to walk thru and a 4th door was grafted in. But what sets this truck off is the opens at the rear and it hinged in the front just like the original passenger side. I was told that gerson made a custom b puller just for this truck. it is supposed to look as if VW made it as an option. the drivers rear door does not open like a suicide door as the truck in the link does.

Gerson, your gallery has 1097 pics so far. Any way to narrow down the search for the parts/pics in question?

I think that if you are going to do a 4 door doublecab, this is the way to go.......one day I hope to do a 4 door double with semaphores and early high hinge, flat cargo doors......

I started my "fantasy' DC about three years ago a 58 only flat back Walk thru, four door ,high hinge, high taillight RHD straight shifter semaphored with flat(early cargo doors) a flat decklid and belly pans just to be safe I hope to have it done by the end of the year here are some pics of the door I made out of two OG cargo doors because I too wanted it to open like the other side

Don't RHD crew cabs have the door on the left and suicide? So if Vw did make it and option I think it prolly would have been suicide.

That's an interesting point Mikee. I never understood why the door would go forward anyways as it blocks the passenger door. But, I suppose it can be argued that the door strap at the bottom keeps it in check anyways.

HMMMM..... There seems to be no way to delete a double post. Embarassed

For what it's worth, I am going to work on my 4th door on my DC today.

What I want is suicide, but if you just wanted the extra door, a B-pillar from a double door walk thru would be the post you need to get the door to hinge.

I'm sure I won't finish today but I will post pictures
