As far as I was aware part no 29 and AL with a crease was the only types uses
but now a friend has bought a 211. part with the crease
Note the VW is upside down / or is it the part no. that is upside down

I don't know the breakdown but here are the handles on my '55:

I don't know if both are original but they are reported to be correct.

Here is the logo from the front door handle of my 3.54/4.54 Truck:

Can anyone confirm if this kind of handle was actually used on barndoor:

It's a huf handle with part number 211.051 It doesn't have anywhere near as much of a crease on it, but everything else looks spot on including the thickness of the back of the handle

Do handle numbers appear in parts books?

I don't think the 211 means it was a bus part, all the handles i've looked at have this. I'm sure there is another thread on cab door handles but couldnt find it.... I think early handles should have a 29 part number later ie 54-55 are AL. Both having the 'crease'

Does anyone have a side photo of the hook piece on a 29.211.051 handle? I received a handle in pieces with the wrong hook and need to communicate what the right one should look like. Thanks in advance if you can help.
