While I don't really mean to call anyone out, particularly someone new to thesamba but ... I'm sort of surprised to see a vehicle seller use a picture from a Revell Model Kit.

Huh.

I e-mailed this seller and asked him why he was asking so much for a simple sealed beam headlight. He responded this was a genuine Canadian replica of the special German ones sold only on Westfalias, similar to lights sold from GoWesty for $60. Of course he is referring to the Bosch and Hella H4 headlights with replaceable bulbs, but his sealed beam is certainly not comparable to that.

Craigslist ad for Westy:

"You can't tell crap from pictures so I'm not posting any. If you're serious give me a call only and we can arrange for you to see it in person."

I don't want to mess with the whole "price it higher and take a lower offer" stuff. The price is firm so don't waste our time if you are not able to deal with that.

Geez... 30something gallons per mile ?? That's a lot of gas, isn't it ? Better fix that hole in the tank before everything else...

Laughing

I just wanted to come in here and post that ad - Levi got to it for me! When I see that ad's title, I want to know what he's running to get the 30+MPG. Then when I read the description I wonder what kind of project he's doing that makes it run through 30 gallons per mile.

It's also a bit optimistic to say it has AC when it's a project van in YUMA. My van has all new AC hoses and Redtek plus limo tint and we still grab the ice packs for our necks when it's time to drive through Yuma.
