These are all taken at Lake Easton just off of I90, a tad east of Snoqualmie on the Yakima river.
The family got together before one brother moves to California, one to Australia and perhaps I to Jakarta Indonesia.
My brother and I securing the canoe, I am at the sliding door
One that my parents liked, I am the shortest, the oldest, and on the bottom
My wife refuses to take a photo together unless she can stand on her toes then on my foot. Spot the pain behind my smile.
One with the ol fat bottomed girl

Matt,
Either that's a miniature Vanagon, or you and your bro are really tall, and that's a twenty foot long canoe! _________________ '87 Westy Weekender - daily driver on salt-free roads

Ahhh! Most of the time??
I have to do it with my measly breath...
haha I'm just giving you a hard time. I wish I was SCUBA certified and had enough funds for that... Probably near impossible to freedive if you are diving wayy up north. The furthest north I go is Fort Bragg, just for the abs

Its been 2 years and 3 months since this thread has been posted to. I think it is good one to resurrect. Many of the old photos are gone.

Glad to see this thread surface again. And after reviewing the pix for the first time in several years, it appears that we all have have:
1. Beautiful vans, and...
2. Beautiful wives and girlfriends (or husbands and boyfriends), and...
3. Cute kids (where applicable) Very interesting. _________________ 1984 Westy with tencentlife power! |

I find this thread quite interesting and somewhat ironic. I haven't read all eight pages, but it seems that people want to see a face behind a user name. What I find interesting is that so many people don't even sign their posts with a first name. So while we may see all kinds of pictures of a user with his or her family, vehicle, and pets, we really have no idea who they are.
I've been to VW campouts where I meet people for the first time, and at least learn their first name. I may not find out until long after that I've crossed paths with them online long before, because they don't sign their posts with a name.
I guess I just don't find it all that helpful to know that user "iluvcatsandvans" (made-up name as an example) has long hair and two kids and an '87 Westy if we don't know their name.
Is it just me?

I hear you Ed. I am so horrible with names I finally posted my first name just to have people stop calling me Carter. _________________ Happiness=Portland, Oregon in the rearview mirror! |

Sorry Carterzest, that's heartbreaking about Shea. What a super, supersweet face. Glad you two were able to take him camping last summer and he got lots of time in the van. _________________ Julia
