Hi, I'm new to the forum, and to type 181s, and have a question. As I look to the left of my engine and towards the top of the compartment I see a bracket that has holes that look like they accept bolts (threaded). Can anyone tell me what is supposed to be mounted there?
Thanks,

I have a follow-up questionfor this one, if anyone can help: If I wanted to install a second Oil Bath in the empty spot, could I use another of the same kind, or was there a left-side specific air cleaner made? Also, is there a source for the double rubber elbow that hooks the carb to both air cleaners? |

thingshop used to have both of these items, get out your wallet. yes, they are specific. the rubber elbow is siamesed in the middle and the air cleaner has a different top part with no preheat intake. the bottom part is the same. _________________ SL |

one could easily make an og thing oilbath filter work. You would still need the fance tube to the carb. Try Mike Basso, he has alot of good parts at a good price. _________________ Cool runnins,
