Today marked the 1st step in getting France her own Kickout SS.

We picked up the donor bug (it was an unfinished project):
1969 IRS pan

I tried to convince France it was finished, she did not buy it!

I'm not going to be on Tom's (TJ-Kustoms) military agenda. I'm giving myself a 3 year goal.

Next step, ordering the Kickout and finding a shipping method to Canada.

We're still very undecided on the color.
We're not going to get another Red buggy, Orange and Green are not really to our taste. That leaves Yellow, Blue and Grey.

I'm leaning towards Canadian Blue and France likes Gun Metal Grey. I'm sceptical that the Grey would 'punch' enough.

We still have a bit of time to sort it out while I call around for shipping options.

Before I scrap all the topside, are there any parts that I should offer to my local community? Are there any har to find parts that I should be offering?

Vincent & France,
Good to hear that your building another buggy.
I like the looks of the Kick Out SS. It is one sharpest looking street buggies.
Yes there is a big differences with the wind noise and buffeting with a curved windshield.
There is not many of the SS out there yet, and where you live is a different climate then SoCal. Any thoughts of some kind of top when the sky starts dropping water?
I nevered asked Bruce if he had any ideas on one or seen drawings of what it kind of top would look good on a SS.

I forgot where I saw the Velcro deal but it looked quite sharp. 2" Velcro on the inside and the top tucked in. Probably leaked a lot but was nicer than mine with all the damn snaps to deal with.

Our current top is held on by velcro.

V & F - the Gunmetal Grey metalflake is a great color. When you saw John Denmatt's Kick-Out SS outside at Carlisle in 2009, the sun was not shinning. When the sun shines on that color, there are flakes that show diffent colors depending on how the light hits it. It is not quite like Kathleen's Manxter, but still has a nice effect. I would have gotten that color, but I got the Canadian Blue metalflake to be opposite of Kathleen's car. Tom
