cant find torque spec for t-stat housing to cyl head. 86gl 2.1. please list source you found the spec in. i guessed at 15nm same as new vw/audi plastic t-stat housing spec. (edit) in mid-process ive decided to upgrade to syncro t-stat housing. now looking for torque spec for both plastic and metal housings.
also looking for correct t-stat to cyl head o-ring info. i have a round o ring with the correct 3mm thickness. it fits fine and is used in many vw audi applications. it appears that the factory part is a square rubber sealing ring. _________________ Reference Automotive: NW Washingtons Vanagon Specialist. thanks for the reply.
i did check the bentley pre-post and while they list the torque specs for most all of the cooling system, t-stat housing to cyl head on the 86-91 2.1 lire wbx is omitted. _________________ Reference Automotive: NW Washingtons Vanagon Specialist. (360)366-6965. referenceautomotive.com |
