Folks,
Due to a family medical emergency, I had to come up from Chicago in the middle of the night on Wednesday to Madison. and of course in repacking forgot my tool bag. and of course given the luck for the first time and having surging and i think TPS issues. I have already gone to three of the shops listed on Roadhouse, two turned me away flat (we don't work on those. even though they have a sign in the window saying we work on VW's) and one "can't fit me in for a week, nice guys with abunch of bays and bug in front but no Joy there either. shops here also will not use my parts.
is there anyone nearby who might be able to give me a hand in the next 72 hours. I have a new Ox sensor, a new TPS even. Have not had this issue before and am looking to try and get back to Chicago on Sunday for more extensive solutions.
any help out there fellow sambnistas?
Cheers

Jerry at Percys is a great guy. The shop is at 3600.
Monroe drive, 608 231 3304.
if it is running well, but just surging when the throttle is just.
slightly depressed, then it is most likely the TPS and i would just.
run it back home, you wont hurt anything. |

Jeff AKA Jrobewesty is about 45-60 minutes north of Madison. PM him to see if he's around.
A ways south of Madison, in Burlington WI, is Burlington Imports. The number is (262) 763-2010. They have a good reputation with the Vanagon crowd. But then again, you're only an hour from Chicago by the time you get there...
Good luck. _________________ '85 Westy

Folks, thanks for the response I also got a call from the one gent here on the vanagon rescue who was able to loan a couple of wrenches. that got me running pretty smooth still high idle,
Jeff I will give you a buzz in the morning. again thank you. this is a very difficult time for us.
My sister was the woman who was hit by a car crossing the street at Cottage Grove Road and Monona Dr on Wednesday night. Her passing is helping at least three other people tonight due to organ and tissue donation. Please sign the backs of those drivers licences it has helped us tremendously knowing that others will benefit.
cheers
