Anyone have a 'best brand' as far as wiper motors goes?

Seen em for all sorts of prices, but unsure if comparing apples to apples without better descriptions.

Bus Depot lists a genuine VW at $69.95
Parts Geek has a Febi/Bilstein new unit for $34.30
Some other monkey lists a new one for $14.37, obviously a cheap Chinese model.
VC has a non descript one at 49.95

Thinking I should just drop for the genuine VW one.

I need to replace mine as well, it's getting slow and noisey. Also the intermittant feature is long gone.
I would think the Febi/Bilstein unit would be fine, but I don't know.

Suppose the question to ask is who is the OE supplier for these motors?

i'd think it would be bosch, but i seem to remember folks talking about certain bosch parts being made outside of germany. also that those parts were of marginal quality(autozone style)and naturally with the price of a legit bosch product. now that i think about it, maybe it wasn't bosch but some other "german" brand. the box would say made in germany and the part would say china or brazil or something.

Considering how arduous a task it is to replace it, I'd go with the genuine article...

the wiper motor from my '82 westy has on it (aside from VW and Audi logos and part numbers) what seems like a manufacturer's logo of a diamond shaped box with "SWF" written in it. No signs of Bosch at all, FWIW.

Just going to go with the VW unit.

From what I have seen, Febi is just a box company now. Guess if the dash is out and I am spending the cash to do the brake master cylinder, heater core, blower, resistor and wiper motor that $30 bucks is nominal in the overall picture.

Thanks all.

Will post pictures (so you can all rejoice in my dash removal misery). Not the first time I have done a dash job (try doing a heater core in a MB S class).
